Imbalanced vaginal microbiome leads to chronic vaginal issues.

BV is associated with a loss of “protective” Lactobacillus species (L. crispatus, L. jensenii) from the vaginal microbiota and an increase in facultative and strict anaerobes, including Gardnerella vaginalis and Prevotella species. Association of BV with important health outcomes— including premature birth, endometritis, and enhanced transmission of human immunodeficiency virus and other sexually transmitted infections—has been demonstrated repeatedly in epidemiologic studies.

VagiBIOM®(Vaginal Microbiome)Lactobacillus test is a simple test to know the vaginal health by detecting the presence of four key health promoting probiotic Lactobacillus. Lactobacillus crispatus, Lactobacillus jensenii, Lactobacillus johnsonii and Lactobacillus gasseri.

What is Lactobac-Check?

It is a simple qualitative check on the presence of three major beneficial Lactobacillus in the vaginal milieu. Absence of these key species may lead to chronic feminine intimate issues.

How does it work?

Fill out the simple questionnaire; We will send a vaginal swab kit and you need to send it back with the sample. We will analyze and send you the test results. This is not a diagnostic test kit, but a quality of life based feminine hygiene test kit for the presence of vaginal specific Lactobacillus. We will assess the vaginal tissue health status and recommend appropriate products that might help you restore your vaginal health.

Vaginal Beneficial
Strains
is Part of Good Vaginal Health Index Benefits to Vaginal Environment
Lactobacillus
crispatus
L.crispatus
* Key species in vaginal microbiome promoting health benefits specifically to maintain pH and prevent other pathogenic flora growth.
* Naturally produces antimicrobial substances and hydrogen peroxide
* Helps in tissue moisturization
* Accelerate re-epithelialization in vaginal epithelium and may play a vital role in the healing of damaged vaginal epithelium and protection against the consequent risk of pathogenic infections
Lactobacillus
jensenii
L.gasseri
* Lactobacillus gasseri enhances immune function in vaginal soft tissues.
* L gasseri may help lessen menstrual pain in women with endometriosis.
Lactobacillus
gasseri
L.gasseri
* L. jensenii produce hydrogen peroxide and has been correlated with a decreased rate of bacterial vaginosis, gonorrhea and HIV-acquisition and pelvic inflammatory disease.
* A stable colonization with these species is associated with better reproductive outcomes, e.g. a decreased rate of preterm birth.
* It is valuable in the treatment of newborns to improve the digestion of breast milk.
